Origin of the name
1. Please explain the origin of the name your representative/famous brand.
The name "Shichi-hon Yari" was derived from the Seven Spears of Shizugatake (Shizugatake no shichi-hon-yari). The Seven Spears of Shizugatake refers to the seven mounted bodyguards who fought with Toyotomi Hideyoshi and beat the opposing army of Katsuie Shibata during the Battle of Sekigahara, to take the spot vacated by Oda Nobunaga following the Honno-ji incident in 1583. The seven bodyguards' names were Fukushima Masanori, Hirano Nagayasu, Kasuya Takenori, Katagiri Katsumoto, Katō Kiyomasa, Katō Yoshiaki, and Wakizaka Yasuharu. Thanks to the results of the Battle of Sekigahara, Hideyoshi quickly ascended to power.
